株式会社WAKA (WAKA Inc.), a studio specializing in highly engaging content on the Roblox platform, has announced the completion of an additional funding round following its previous raise in June 2026. This latest round comprises equity investment from TOKI, alongside debt financing from Mizuho Bank and Hokkoku Bank, bringing the company's cumulative debt and equity funding to 500 million yen. Notably, this equity investment was executed at an up-round, exceeding the valuation of the previous funding phase.
Operating as an "addictive content studio" on Roblox, WAKA Inc. primarily focuses on the planning, development, and operation of globally played games. Led by Representative Director and CEO Keita Noda, the company engages in official game publishing for anime and manga franchises, as well as the acquisition, operation, and growth support of existing popular games. In September 2026, WAKA announced official Roblox game publishing for "Gintama" and "Black Clover," and further expanded its global user base through the acquisition of a major title boasting 2 million Daily Active Users (DAU).
Proceeds from this funding round will be allocated toward further strengthening global game development and operational capabilities. Specifically, the company aims to accelerate the acquisition of new games and growth support for existing titles, creating content that users worldwide can immerse themselves in daily. Looking ahead to continued growth, WAKA is also actively recruiting candidates for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) position to lead large-scale fundraising and M&A initiatives.
