BlueWX Inc., a provider of deep learning-based weather forecasting solutions, has announced that it has raised capital through a third-party allotment of shares in a Series A extension round, with Fidea Capital Co., Ltd. acting as the underwriter. The company has previously received investments from Tokyo University Innovation Partners Co., Ltd. (TIPC), ANA Future Creation Fund, and Keio Innovation Initiative (KII). With this latest round of funding, BlueWX will further strengthen its management structure alongside its existing investors.
Founded in July 2023, BlueWX is a meteorological analysis and forecasting startup whose core strength lies in a proprietary weather approach combining observational data and deep learning. The company has built a solid technological track record, including cutting prediction errors in half compared to conventional models in areas such as aviation turbulence forecasting and surface wind prediction for the energy sector.
